- REMEMBERING OUR LOVED ONES
Our 20th annual Candlelight Service for Remembering was held on Nov. 28, 2010 with many from our community attending. This event, started by Whitaker Funeral Home 20 years ago, gives our community the opportunity to acknowledge and remember our loved ones and to also honor our grief.
This years service was a combination of musical presentations, video tributes, a "reading of names" tribute of those particularly remembered as well as a sharing of thoughts on grief and the changes and challenges it can present. Each family was given a book Holiday Help for their personal use.
We realize that not all families were able to attend the Service of Rembering. If you would like a copy of the book please contact us and we will get one to you. - Remembering September 11

The bugle has sounded, its notes drift away, this time now belongs to you.
On this day for one brief moment, hear the silence fill the air. Think of those who walked beside us, now no longer there,
Then don't cry but hear their laughter, for their sprite lives inside. Let that mystic stream of memory fill our hearts with pride!
