Mrs. Agnes Price Sparks of The Gardens of Taylor Glen Concord NC passed away Tuesday July 29 2014. A memorial service was 2 PM Friday at Central United Methodist Church Concord NC officiated by Rev. Andy Langford. The family did receive friends following the service in the church parlor. Agnes was born October 1 1920 in Saluda SC to the late Harry Carroll Price and Iva Williamson Price. She was a homemaker and a member of Central United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Jessie Boger Sunday School Class and the Coltrane Jones Circle. Agnes was also was a former president of the Huntersville Women's Club and involved with the Homemakers Extension Club of Huntersville. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Lt. Francis Edward Lord killed in action in World War II her second husband Ralph Glenn Sparks and her infant son Tracy and 3 brothers and 1 sister. Agnes is survived by daughters Ava S. Plott and husband Joe of Albemarle and Louise S. Carter and husband Marvin of Newberry SC; sons Charles Chuck Sparks and wife Linda and Kenneth Sparks and wife Jennifer all of Concord; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sisters Frances McHargue of Concord Bobbie Leagon of Huntersville and Mildred Barnwell of Jacksonville FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.
