Mrs. Alice Davant Daugherty Harris, 63, of Loganville, GA entered the gates of Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Asheville, NC. She passed peacefully holding the hand of her beloved husband of 39 years, Anthony Joe "Tony" Harris.

Along with her husband, Tony, she is survived by her treasured nephew, David Christian Daugherty and his wife Mindy, who was like her own child; siblings: David Daugherty and his wife Pam of Bowman, GA, Payson Daugherty and his wife Nell of Shoal Creek, AL, Pat Bullard and her husband Phil of Dunwoody, GA, and Sue Brown and her husband Rick of Southport, NC; siblings-in-law: Bob and Pat Goss of Bowman, GA, Barry and Susan Goss of Bowman, GA, Debbie and Dave Dahlroos of Franklin, TN, Linda Partin of Elberton, GA, and Marty Griffin of Cape Coral, FL; and many other nieces and nephews. Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Lawton and Florence Hunt Patterson Daugherty; and sister-in-law, Shirley Griffin.

She lived her life following Christ in both her words and actions. Alice's heart was filled with love for everyone she met and she always thought the best of them. She exuded love, joy, patience, kindness, and gentleness in everything she did.

Alice struggled with MS for many years. It brought her challenges daily, but she always kept a positive attitude. She enjoyed life to its fullest; always wanting to travel to new places, try new things, and meet new people. She and Tony have co-owned and operate a business together since 2008.

Alice's life will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Fork Creek Baptist Church, 1972 Fork Creek Circle, Bowman, GA. Visitation will be from 10:00-10:45a.m. with the funeral service following at 11:00a.m. Revs. Terry Wood and Michael Marcengill will be officiating, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
