Alma Gamble Smith 85 formerly of Newberry died Tuesday December 16 2003 at the Lexington Medical Center Extended Care. Mrs. Smith was born on June 24 1918 in Hickory NC a daughter of the late Annie Mae Gamble. She is survived by a nephew and his wife Michael and Linda Doss and a great nephew Michael Doss Jr. all of Saluda. Funeral services for Alma Smith will be conducted at 4:30 P.M. Tuesday at the Whitaker Funeral Home. The family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. David Poole 308 South Jennings St. Saluda.
