Alvin Gerald "Jerry" Bickley, 68, of Newberry, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at his residence. Born on December 16, 1949 in Newberry, he was a son of the late Cecil M. and Willard Caldwell Bickley. Alvin was a one of a kind, non-pretentious, modest person who loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He enjoyed any television sporting event but auto racing, the USC Gamecocks, and Newberry College Wolves were among his most favorite sports to watch. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy Jones Bickley; children, Eric Bickley (Jentry) and Heidi Powell (Wayne) both of Newberry; grandchildren, Blake Bickley and Shyanne Powell; siblings, Randy Bickley (Pam), Jimmy Bickley (Debra) and Karen Bickley, all of Newberry.
