Andrew "Andy" Price, 80, of Falls Church, Virginia, died on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Born on December 4, 1941 in Newberry, SC, he was the son of the late Van E. and Nina Cromer Price.

Andy loved to dance, teach and play music. He was a music teacher in Loudoun County Public Schools for 33 years. After retirement, he continued to teach private piano lessons in Virginia. He was a talented organist who has played all over the DC metropolitan area and Newberry, South Carolina. For the past 30 years, he has been the organist and music director at Arlington Church of the Brethren. He was an active member of American Guild of Organists (AGO) for many years and served a 2 year term (2002-2004) as Dean of the Northern Virginia Chapter of the AGO. He was also a member of the Organ Historical Society.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews and their children - Andrew and Stephanie Bedenbaugh of Washington, D.C. and their children Grace and Jacob, Melanie (Bedenbaugh) and Patrick Hawkins of Prosperity, South Carolina and their children Claire and Benjamin; Maxine Maxwell and Sean Kite and their children Antonia, Zane, and Erik; Steven and Amber Maxwell and their son Logan; Laura Maxwell and her children Johnny, Lilian, Isabella and Scheiler; Robin Groen; and also many, many friends from a life well lived.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his partner and husband of 50 years, Ralph Maxwell; sister, Nina Sue Price Bedenbaugh; and brother-in-law, Yoder Bedenbaugh

Visitation will be held at Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry, SC on Thursday, September 29th from 4:30-6:00 p.m.

Burial will be at  Rosemont Cemetery at a later date.

A memorial service will be held at Arlington Church of the Brethren on October 22, 2022.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Arlington Church of the Brehren – Memorial Fund in Andy's name.
