IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ann Marie “Ree-Ree”
Fulmer
September 27, 2024 – September 28, 2024
Ann Marie "Ree-Ree" Fulmer, of Prosperity, died Saturday, September 28, 2024.
Born in Columbia, SC on June 12, 1968, Marie was a daughter of Ann Brabham and Roy D. Cannon, Jr.
Marie had a special place in her heart for children, working as a Pre-School teacher at Chapin Baptist Church for over 30 years and where she affectionately became known as "Ree-Ree". In addition to the teaching, it was not uncommon, when plans changed last minute for friends and family, Ree-Ree would step in and help, bringing children over to stay at her house if needed. Her profession, combined with her passion for caring for others, meant that she touched the lives of many children in her community and throughout the Midlands.
In addition to her caring side, Ree-Ree had an adventurous side. She loved to go to the mountains, tour Disney World, and even went on a week-long Country Music Artists concert trip with her family in Nashville, TN. She enjoyed Firefly baseball games with Rusty and Summer and excursions with her grandmother, Miss Kat, that were sure to bring about some mischief.
Ree-Ree was a selfless person, always putting others above herself, always looking to find ways to 'fix it' for those who needed something. Whether it was simply bringing peaches back to brighter someone's day or looking out for anything her sister, Mel, needed, if she could do something to make others happy, she was happy.
Ree-Ree loved her family and her pride and joy was her daughter, Summer. They could often be found planning the day or planning the next excursion, others were welcome to join but they always made the plan. At times, life was hard, but Ree-Ree always wore a beautiful smile, knowing she had a family to love and that she was well loved.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 20 years, Rusty Fulmer; daughter, Summer Fulmer; step-son, JR Fulmer (Alexis Bouknight); sister, Melanie Zobel (Charlie); parents-in-law, Linda and John Fulmer; brothers-in-law, Mitchell Fulmer (Bethany) and Wesley Fulmer (Betsy); nieces and nephews, Katie Zobel, Tyler Zobel (Laney), Andrew Fulmer (EK), Wylie Fulmer, and Henry Fulmer; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her beloved dogs, Daisy and Luna.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at St. Peter Lutheran Church by Rev. David Tholstrup, with burial will follow in the church cemetery. To honor Ree-Ree's legacy of caring for others, the family requests that dress be casual and comfortable for the services.
