Anna Maria Anita DeLeon 93 of Chapin died Monday December 10 2012 at Lexington Medical Center. The Rosary was prayed at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday December 15 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Andrew J. Vollkommer immediately thereafter at 11:00 a.m. Mrs. DeLeon was born on November 3 1919 in Rovinj Italy a daughter of the late Antonio Ruzich and Eufemia Zovich Ruzich. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking sewing knitting gardening and reading. More than anything she loved her family and was affectionately known to her grandchildren as Nonna. Mrs. DeLeon is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Pat and Ken Moore of Chapin; grandchildren Jessica (Brian) Fisher of Greenville Alex (Mark) Raymond of Tifton GA Eric Moore of Rock Hill Cathy DeLeon Rhea Lynn DeLeon and Jennifer DeLeon; sister Emilia Godena of Italy; sister-in-law Maria Russi of Canada; and many special nieces of Canada Italy and Oklahoma. She was predeceased by her husband Willie DeLeon; son Fred DeLeon; and brothers Giovanni Ruzich and Rudy Russi.
