After an extended illness, Annette Joslyn, 68, passed away at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia on March 25, 2026. Rest peacefully, our sweet Annette.
Annette was born in Flint, Michigan, on April 18th, 1957 to her parents, L.N. and Nora Chappell. She was predeceased by her parents and her late husband, Leonard Joslyn, who was the love of her life. She was never able to have children of her own, but when she married Len, they took two of his grandsons to live with them and raised them until they were old enough to go out on their own. Matthew Joslyn and Justin Joslyn were blessed to have her care for them for many years.
Annette lived in many places in her lifetime. She lived in Goose Creek and worked in Charleston before moving to Easley to be with family. There, she was employed by Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Greenville. She lived in Conway for several years and worked for Centex Homes in North Myrtle Beach, where she made many new friends. In her later years, she and Len moved to the Upstate of South Carolina to Newberry. After his death, she then moved to Walhalla with family. At the time of her death, she was living in Newberry again.
Justin Joslyn, Jessica Madison, and her great-grandchildren, Vela and Carsyn, were dear to her heart. She is also survived by Judy Crane, Pat Terry, and many other special cousins. A very special friend, Debbie Lindsey Holbrooks, and many others is left behind to miss her greatly.
Memories and condolences may be shared here on her tribute page.
Whitaker Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Annette Joslyn.
