Annie Mae Gibbon 101 of Rutherfordton NC died Saturday February 19 2011 at Hospice House of Rutherford County in Forest City NC. She was a member of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church in Chapin SC and was a native of Richland County SC. She was the daughter of the late Dave Richardson and the late Willie Estelle Sites Richardson and the widow of the late Lacy Preston Gibbon. She is survived by daughters Annelle Stroud of Detroit MI and Doris Brix of Victoria British Columbia; son Hugh Gibbon of Rutherfordton NC; sisters Amanda Koon of Columbia SC and Sadie Ellisor of Columbia SC; Eight Grandchildren and Seven Great-Grandchildren. A graveside funeral service was held at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church Cemetery in Chapin SC at 1:00 PM Saturday March 5 2011 with Chaplain David Stroud officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County P.O. Box 336 Forest City NC 28043.
