Aubrey Bentley Green, Sr., 92, husband of Peggy Jeter Green, of Whitmire, SC died August 9, 2022 at White Oak Manor, Newberry. Mr. Green was born in Alabama on May 17, 1930, a son of the late Hobart and Lula Bentley Green. He was a member of Whitmire Presbyterian Church and retired from the textile mills and the US Postal Service where he served for over 30 years as a rural mail carrier. He was a member of the Roseboro Masonic Lodge AFM #195. Mr. Green is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. In addition to his wife of 71 years, he is survived by his children, Barbara G. Hazel (Robert), Aubrey "Butch" Green, Jr. (Lorraine), Janet Caudill (Ronnie), and Kathy Evans (Larry); sister, Linda Krauss of Durham, NC; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, Edgar Green, Bobby Green, Donald Green, and Leonard Green; and sisters, Lillie Copeland and Magdalene Sumner. Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Whitmire Presbyterian Church, 1509 S. Church Street, Whitmire, SC .
