Barbara Griffin Black 66 formerly of Kennerley Rd in Irmo died Monday December 17 2012. Barbara was the wife of the late Samuel Martin Black Sr. She was born on April 12 1946 in Spartanburg SC a daughter of the late Ernest "Roy" and Clara Malpass Griffin. Mrs. Black is survived by her son Chris Black of Columbia; sister Betty Keisler of Cayce; brother Allen W. Pettit (Linda) of Chapin; grandchildren Samantha Lynn Black Ashlyn Victoria Black and Justin Lee Grantham and great-grandchildren Serenity and Journey. She was pre-deceased by a son Samuel Martin Black Jr. and a sister Sandra K. Sharpe. Graveside funeral services were conducted 3:00 PM Friday December 21 2012 at Newberry Memorial Gardens.
