Barbara T. Guerrera, a named that resonated with warmth and love, passed away on a serene September morning in 2023. She was at her cherished home in Prosperity, South Carolina, surrounded by the familiar comforts of a well-lived life.

Barbara, known to many as a beautiful and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, had a heart that overflowed with care for everyone and everything she encountered. Her love story with her husband, John, was one for the ages, marked by countless nights 0f dancing under the moonlight and friendly games of bridge with their dearest friends.

But it was her time with her family that truly defined her existence. Weekends were a symphony of joy as they set sail on calm waters, the wind in their hair and laughter in their hearts as the breeze carried their smiles across the horizon. On other occasions, the family gathered for spirited games of swimming or bowling, creating treasured memories that spanned generations.

Barbara's legacy was not just in her love for life's simple pleasures but in her ability to infuse those around her with a sense of joy and togetherness. Her laughter was infectious, and her love bound her family in a tight-knit embrace. She was known to the family as (The heart of the family).

As Barbara T. Guerrera's life gently sailed into the sunset, she left a legacy of love, laughter and a profound appreciation for life's simply joys. Her memory would forever be a guiding light for her family, a reminder to cherish every moment, just as she had done throughout her remarkable life.

Barbara is survived by: her husband of sixty-nine years, John Guerrera; her daughters, Debbie Gale (Mike), Lisa Baker, and Barbie Booth (Richard). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jenna Stowers and Belinda Baker; and her great-grandchildren, Treston and Lily Stowers and Johny Earl Baker.

A celebration of Life for Barbara will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at her home in Prosperity.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer Association.
