Barbara Jean Cox Moore 79 of Ninety Six wife of Paul Lee Moore died Sunday January 26 2014. Memorial services were conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday January 30 2014 at Chapin Baptist Church by the Rev. Chad Thibodeaux and Rev. Philip Vaughn. Visitation did from 1:00 to 1: 45 P.M. at the church prior to the service. Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Friday January 31 2014 at South Main Street Baptist Church Chapel of Greenwood by the Rev Ryan Eklund. Visitation was from 12:00 noon to 12:45 P.M. at the chapel prior to the service. Burial did follow the Friday service at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Born on September 28 1934 in Anderson she was a daughter of the late Joseph Cullen and Thelma Octavia Bishop Cox. She was retired general manager of Group W. Cable in Greenwood. She was a member of South Main Street Baptist Church Greenwood where she attended the Earlene Shirley Sunday School Class. Mrs. Moore was a devoted homemaker and a people person who cherished spending time with her children grandchildren other family members and friends. She enjoyed painting decorating and other crafts most recently quilting and sewing. A woman always ready to go she took every opportunity to shop attend parties and experience other adventures. In addition to her husband Paul of Ninety Six she is survived by her sons Jimmie Lee Moore of Napa CA and Joseph Charles Jofy Moore (Jennie) of Bluffton; daughters Rebecca Lynn Moore Satterfield (Doug) of Chapin and Laurie Jean Moore Long (Fred) of Irmo; grandsons Zachary Andrew Long (Kendall Rae Garrett) Daniel Tyler Satterfield and Cullen Hunter Satterfield; brothers Joseph Samuel Cox (Alice) of Greer and William Ted Cox (Trudy) of Moore; and dear friend Marie Timmerman of Greenwood. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a grandson Joseph Kendall Nickolaus and a brother Lewis Grady Cox. Honorary pallbearers for Chapin were James Boland Tommy Graham Zachary Long Tyler Satterfield Tommy Darnell Ashley Hulon and Cullen Satterfield. Pallbearers for Greenwood were Zachary Long Tyler Satterfield Cullen Satterfield John Perry Davis John Frick Fred Getz Micah Stewart John Timmerman and Guy Harrison.
