Barbara Davis Jones, 76, of Mauldin, wife of the Ralph E. Jones, Jr, died August 1, 2018 in Greenville, SC Born on March 21, 1942 in Roanoke, VA, she was a daughter of the late James Henry and Beatrice Kennerley Davis Mrs. Jones was a faithful member of Mauldin United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 14 years and was an advocate for releasing butterflies which represented "Jesus has Risen" during the church's Easter Services. She was also a hospice volunteer for many years. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ralph E. Jones, Jr. of Mauldin daughters, Sharon (Darin) Cunningham, of Daniel Island and Lori Anne (Greg) McDonald of Ellenton, FL; a son, Jerome (Melanie) Jones of Lexington; grandchildren, Cameron (Austin) Jones, Mallory (Daniel) Carter, Logan McDonald, Connor McDonald, Alex Mailloux, Marlee Cunningham and Kendall Cunningham; a brother, Ken (Amelia) Davis of Lancaster; and sisters, Linda (Jim) Hudson of Anderson and Diane (Buck) Webber of Prosperity She was predeceased by her sons, James Michael Jones and Kennerley Ralph Jones The family will receive friends on Saturday August 4, 2018 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry, SC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday August 4, 2018 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry, SC. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery.
