Barbara Ruth Griffin Crissone, 84, of Pacolet, SC died on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia. She was born in Spartanburg on July 7, 1935, a daughter of the late John Walter and Mamie Nell Johnson Griffin. Barbara was the last surviving member of her birth family. Quite the collector, Barbara amassed a collection of glass and other notable items and treasurers over the years. She also enjoyed crafting activities particularly ceramics and scrap-booking. Survivors include her husband, James "Jim" T. Crissone of Pacolet; son, Charles Griffin (Paige) of Columbia; granddaughter, Angela Griffin; great grandchildren, Cameron and Hannah Martin; nieces, Darlene Roberts (Dan), Anne Ballenger (Roy), and Phyllis Moore; nephews, Dennis Griffin (Sheila) and Alan Griffin (Joni) and a number of great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by siblings Edna, Vivian, John, Jr., and Gail. In keeping with her wishes, the family will hold a private family service and celebration for Barbara.
