Barbara S. White, 77, of Columbia, South Carolina, died on November 5th, 2025. She was born in Newberry, South Carolina, to the late Joseph Wesley and Marjorie (Martin) Swindler.

Barbara spent 26 years of her life as a sales manager, overseeing the manufacturing of O-rings for rockets. Outside of her professional life, she enjoyed gardening and making soy candles- even owning and operating her own gift shop at one time. But above all, what brought Barbara the most joy was being a dedicated wife to her husband of nearly 38 years, William Darrell White.

In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by stepsons, William Darrel White, Jr. of Marietta, Georgia, and John Livingston White, of Columbia, South Carolina; and sister, Sharon Shaw, of Irmo, South Carolina. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Randy Swindler.

A visitation will take place from 1:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, November 9th, 2025, at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 9th, 2025, at Rosemont Cemetery.
