Becky Perry Brown, 51, of Whitmire, died Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Brown was born on February 19, 1964, in Okeechobee, FL, the daughter of Margie McMurtury Perry and the late Dan G. Perry, Sr. She was a member of Central Ave Baptist Church in Whitmire where she was a teacher for the Beginners Sunday School class and directed Easter and Christmas Plays. She was a published author and a very committed humanitarian. In addition to her mother of Whitmire, Becky is survived by her children, Daniel and Kevin Brown both of Whitmire; grandchildren, Christopher Brown, Jada Brown, Delia Lopez and Damion Brown; and a sister, Janet Lynn Perry Moates of Whitmire. She was predeceased by her father, her son, Christopher Anthony Brown; brother Dan Perry, Jr., sister; Faye Perry Brooks and grandson, Achellies Tony Brown. Funeral services will be held at Central Avenue Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Monday conducted by Rev. Tony Dickert, Rev. Dwayne Goings and Rev. Waco Cotney. Burial will be in Whitmire Cemetery. .
