DUE TO WEATHER,  BENNETT'S SERVICE HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED.

Bennett C. Dennis, Jr., 55, of Newberry, SC, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 19, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born March 7, 1969, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Bennett Carl Dennis, Sr. and Ora Mae Wilson Goff.

Bennett enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed time spent with family and friends grilling out. Bennett loved his family, most importantly his daughter, Lesley, whom he was very proud.

He is survived by his mother, Ora Mae Goff; daughter, Lesley Snyder; grandchildren, Nora and Delaney Snyder; sister, Gina Allen (Roger); and his K-9 companions, Bella and Brownie.

In addition to his father, he is preceded by his step-father, William "Buddy" Goff and sister, Hope Willett Goff.

Graveside services have been rescheduled for 3pm, Friday, October 25, 2024 at Baxter Cemetery.

Visitation was held Wednesday, from 5 PM to 7 PM, at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry.

Memorials are suggested to the Newberry County Animal Shelter, 240 Public Works Drive, Newberry, SC, 29108.
