Bette Herron Courtenay 64 or 391 Gravel Rd. Prosperity died Friday July 31 2009 at Saluda Nursing Center. Mrs. Courtenay was born on March 30 1945 a daughter of the late Elaine and Arthur Herron. She was a former employee of Otis Spunkmeyer. She loved cooking fishing hunting and almost anything outdoors. She is survived by her husband Gordon E. Shore Sr. of the residence; daughter Pam Courtenay; son Danny Courtenay; step-daughter Christine Erskine; step-sons Gordon E. Shore Jeff Shore and Kevin Shore; brother Arthur Herron; 2 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren Private services were held.
