Betty Jane "Liz" Drexelius 73 of Chapin died Sunday December 14 2008 at her residence.She was born in Buffalo NY a daughter of the late Martin J. and Mildred M (Burkhardt) Braunscheidel. She was a retired regional coordinator for MetLife Insurance Co. and was a member of Our Lady of the Lady Catholic Church.She is survived by her husband Robert F. Drexelius Jr. of Chapin; two daughters Jeannie M. Drexelius of Chapin and Elizabeth A. Pollard of Columbia; her son Martin R. Drexelius of Buckeye AZ; a sister Mildred F. Lohiser of Orchard Park NY; six grandchildren; Brandan Pollard Karl Drexelius Katie Pollard Karen Drexelius Lindsey Pollard and Corey Pollard and 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister Arlene E. Wilson. The Rosary was recited Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church by Reverend Andrew J. Vollkommer. Private interment was in St. Peters Catholic Church Cemetery in Columbia.
