Betty Jean Morris Brunson 72 of Norway SC died Wednesday February 26 2014 at Trident Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg S.C. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel Newberry SC by the Rev. Jerry Trantham. Burial did follow in the Colony Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family did receive friends and family from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Saturday prior to the funeral service at the Whitaker Funeral Home. She was born on March 7 1941 in Newberry County the daughter of the late Hoyt E. and Margaret Bowers Morris. Mrs. Brunson was a member of Colony Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker and an avid reader. She is survived by her husband Marvin M. Brunson; sons David Osborne of West Virginia James Osborne of Weisport PA and Randy Brunson and Chad Brunson (Kim) all of Norway; step-son Don Brunson (Martha) of Swansea; brothers Maxie E. Morris of Myrtle Beach and James R. Morris of Leavenworth KS; grandchildren Amanda Randy Dillion Tanner and Savannah Brunson; 4 step-grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren including a special great grandchild Cheyenne; and a step-great grandchild. She was predeceased by a son Kenny Osborne. All of whom she loved very dearly.
