Betty Thomas Williams 75 formally of 961 Lindsay Circle Newberry widow of J. Edward Williams died Wednesday November 22 2006 at the J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home. She was born on March 4 1931 in Whitehall GA a daughter of the late Judge Hubert and Jessie Ward Thomas. She was a retired textile employee and was a member of College Street Baptist Church.Mrs. Williams is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law Polly and Clyde Turner of Newberry and Angie Williams and her fiancé Doug Kirk of Cleveland OH; a sister and brother-in law Gloria and Earl Dominick of Newberry; one brother who was reared in the home and a sister-in-law Danny and Lynn Thomas of St. Lucie FL; eleven grandchildren Eddy Turner Ben Turner Charity Turner Tommy Turner Tal Rowe Elysia Edwards Naomi Kirk Nichole Kirk Babs Crumley Bert Thomas and Bett Thomas; and twelve great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson Davie Edwards.Graveside funeral services were conducted at 3:00 PM Friday by Rev. Paul Rowe in Newberry Memorial Gardens.Visitation was from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the Whitaker Funeral Home.Memorials may be made to J. F.
