Betty Wayne Hendrix Willingham, 86, died October 24, 2018 at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John Andrew Willingham. Mrs. Willingham was born in Newberry, SC to the late Marcus Boyd Hendrix and Eula Lee Pitts Hendrix. She is survived by her daughter Gwen Senn (Charlie) and sons, Mike Willingham (Mary) and Jerry Willingham (Alicia); grandchildren, Candice Suber (Phifer), Lacey Craven (Kyle), Lori Beth Charlton (Chris), April Bryant (Terry), Cayce Lybrand (Casey), Lindsay Piersol (Jay), Alana West (Bryan), and Austin Willingham (Beth); great grandchildren, Shay and Erica Johnson, Liza Craven, Cora Charlton, Sarah and Mary Grace Bryant, Cameron and Chase Lybrand, Hunter, Olivia and Harper Piersol, Cooper, Paisley and Samantha West and Bryce Willingham; great great grandson, Kylan Johnson; sisters, Martha Bowers and Fronnie Chaney and brother, Boyd Hendrix. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Jessie Marcus Willingham; sisters, Mae Wiehrs, Corrine Merritt, Leora Walker and Lillian Bouknight and brothers, Clarence Dennis and Harold Hendrix. Funeral services for Betty Willingham will be on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Silverstreet Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Harry Crout officiating. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends before the service between the hours of 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM in the Silverstreet Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. Pallbearers will be Austin Willingham, Kyle Craven, Chris Charlton, Terry Bryant, Casey Lybrand, Jay Piersol, and Bryan West. Honorary pallbearers will be members of WELCA.
