Billie Sue Lindler 65 of Prosperity wife of Kenneth Lindler Sr. died Sunday September 13 2015 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday September 16 2015 at Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Jeff ODell. Interment will follow at Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM in the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel. Born on May 8 1950 in Whitmire SC she was a daughter of the late Mae Belle Rochester. She was the last surviving member of her birth family. Billie was a lady who never met a stranger. She was also a gentle woman who enjoyed spending time tending her flower garden took great pleasure in decorating for holidays especially Christmas and treasured her collection of angels. She befriended animals of all types and made many of them her pets. Fishing was a favorite pastime and NASCAR racing brought her hours of enjoyment. But her greatest delight was the moments she spent with her grandchildren sharing her love with them. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children Angela Pitts (Scott) of Prosperity and James Romans (Charlene) of Newberry; step-sons Kenneth Lindler Jr.(Jennifer) of Little Mountain and Tracy Lindler (Lori) of Calhoun Falls; and her grandchildren Allen Devin Cayden Sara Lee-Anna Savannah Ellie and Quade. In addition to her mother she was predeceased by her siblings Barbara Patricia and Eugene Kinsey. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Lindler Jr. Neil Stafford Jimmy Henry Jeff Bouknight Billy Bouknight and Calvin Lindler. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Mark Davis Dr. Alan Paysinger and the staff of the Infusion Lab of Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
