Bobby "Bo" Gene Chrisley, 89, of Newberry, South Carolina was born on January 17, 1933 in Calhoun Falls, South Carolina and passed away peacefully on February 3, 2022. He was the son of the late Carnell and Nellie Chrisley.
Bo attended Calhoun Falls High School, where he was later inducted into the Calhoun Falls High School Hall of Fame in 2004. After high school, Bo signed a professional baseball league contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates and later served in the Army from 1951 to 1954. He was a proud life member mason of Amity Lodge #87 and served his community as a South Carolina Highway Patrol officer, where he retired as Sergeant after 34 honorable years of service. Bo was an avid golfer and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and coaching golf at Newberry High School. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church of Newberry, SC, where he came to know Christ as his personal savior.
Bo is survived by his son Ronald Keith Chrisley of Newberry, South Carolina, his grandson Justin Ross Chrisley (Christen) of Newberry, SC, his granddaughter Marley Chrisley Costin (Tony) of Lexington, South Carolina, and their mother Wanda Danielsen Chrisley. Bo is also survived by his great-grandchildren Maleah, Ansley, Jaxson, and soon-to-arrive great-grandson, Braxton. Bo is also survived by his sister Dorothy Chrisley Greene of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and was predeceased by his beloved wife Doris Joan (Ross) Chrisley and his brother Barbra O'Neil "Neil" Chrisley.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the Family Life Center at Central United Methodist Church with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary. Following the service, Bo will be laid to rest at Newberry Memorial Gardens in Newberry, SC.
