Bonnie Usher Belger of Newberry, SC passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 1, 2023 while surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late James Robert Usher and Mary Elizabeth Crosland. She was predeceased by her husband, Jackie "Jack" Leon Belger and by an infant son, Chad William Belger.

Bonnie was born on September 21, 1944 at Saint Eugene Hospital in Dillon County, SC. She graduated from Latta High School in 1962 where she was an accomplished student, athlete, and helping hand to her mother and father who worked as a sharecropper in the city of Sellers, SC.

After graduating high school, Bonnie moved to Columbia, SC to live with her elder sister, Betty, and began working at Shakespeare Composite Structures. While working at Shakespeare, Bonnie met the love of her life, Jack, and the two married shortly after in 1962. In 1968, Bonnie with her husband Jack and daughter Tammy moved to Newberry, SC where Bonnie and her husband would both begin successful careers as small-town entrepreneurs. Bonnie was the owner and manager of several retail stores, most notably BJ Graphix for over 35 years.

Without question, Bonnie's proudest accomplishment was the legacy that she and her husband built through their children and grandchildren. Bonnie was at her happiest on the go and refused to miss out on an opportunity or experience. Whether traveling to support her grandchildren at numerous sporting events, vacationing with her loved ones, or spending time at Litchfield Beach, Bonnie lived life to its absolute fullest up until her very last day.

Bonnie was a member of First Baptist Church of Newberry where she was an active attendee of the Ruth Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her daughters Tammy (Johnny) Nichols of Newberry and Jackie (Michael) Huggins of Newberry; grandchildren Eric (Ally) Davis, Chad Davis, Jack (Gabrielle) Huggins, Ryne (Kayleigh) Huggins, and London Huggins. She is also survived by her sisters Gladys Bedinger of Latta and Betty McDaniel of Lexington. She was predeceased by her brother, James Robert Usher Jr. In addition to her immediate family, Bonnie was loved deeply by nieces and nephews on both sides of her family.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, Newberry on Sunday, June 4, 2023, 4:00PM, by Rev. Dr. Albert Allen. Interment will follow at Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the committal.

Active pallbearers will be: Michael Huggins, Jack Huggins, Ryne Huggins, London Huggins, Eric Davis, Chad Davis, and Johnny Nichols. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Ruth Sunday School Class and employees of BJ Graphix.
