Funeral Services for Mr. Boyce W. Waldrop, 78, of Reams Road, North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest December 23, 2016, were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiated. Interment followed at Smyrna Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Newberry, SC.
Mr. Waldrop was a native of Arden, NC, former resident of Spartanburg, SC, where he was a 1956 graduate of Boiling Springs High School, and had made North Augusta his home for the past 55 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta and retired from Southeastern Freight Lines as a Transportation Salesman. During his career, he was a member of the Augusta Traffic Club.
Mr. Waldrop was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Evelyn Waldrop and a brother, L. Lee Waldrop.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Kay Waldrop; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Sandy Waldrop, North Augusta and Mark and Audrey Waldrop, Newberry, SC; five grandchildren, Lindsey Waldrop, Brooke Waldrop, Caroline Waldrop, Paige Waldrop and Caleb Waldrop; and a sister, Lynn (Tom) Owings, Woodruff, SC.
Honorary Pallbearers were James Huff, Howard Hucks, Harold Ramos and Lewis Padgett. Active Pallbearers were Milton Senn, R.J. Doran, Barry Senn, Jimmy Huff, Jamie Dowd and Michael Jordan.
The family received friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5 until 7.
