Brenda Mae Gambrell, 61, a resident of Newberry, died on October 23, 2023, at White Oak Manor. She was born on February 16, 1962, in Due West, South Carolina, she was the daughter to Mrs. Nancy Brock Gambrell and the late Marvin Gambrell.

Brenda was known to be a loving mother, grandmother, friend and caregiver. She impacted the lives around her with her generous heart and was loved by everyone. Brenda was a devoted member of the Volunteer American Red Cross in Anderson, SC as well as a member of the Haven of Rest in Honea Path, SC. Brenda had a knack for scrapbooking, cooking and baking cakes. Her most precious enjoyments in life came from her loving children and grandchildren whom she was always proud of. Brenda leaves behind a legacy of love.

In addition to her mother, Brenda is survived by, her faithful companion of forty years, David Shane Cooley; her daughter, Latasha Ann Epting and her husband, Clayton; her son, Franky Lee Gambrell and his wife, Camillie; six grandchildren; and her brother, William Gambrell. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, Frankie Gambrell.

A memorial service will be celebrated by Rev. Brett Blackman, at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 27, 2023, at the Cannon's Creek ARP Church, 14395 CR Koon Hwy, Newberry, SC, 29108.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation following the service.
