Brenda Sue Shattuck 64 of Chapin died Saturday March 12 2011 at Lexington Medical Center. She was born on February 19 1947 in Dayton Tennessee the daughter of the late Joel and Marchie Jenkins. Brenda was raised in Battle Creek Michigan and was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and McComb County Community College. She was formerly employed with Russell & Jeffcoat Realty in Chapin and was a member of Lake Murray Presbyterian Church. She loved her animals and was passionate about the rescue of animals. Brenda is survived by her husband Robert William Bill Shattuck; step children Susan (Jason) Snurr of Blythewood Brian (Katie) Shattuck of Carmel Indiana and Ann Shattuck of Charleston; her sister Bonnie (Tom) Billings of Cheboygan Michigan; grandchildren Paul Jude and Brandon and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brothers Robert Gary and Jerry Jenkins. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Lake Murray Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Ben Sloan and Craig Winesett. Interment was in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family did receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Chapin. Pallbearers will be Wayne Ammons Rick Fulmer Tommy Herndon Jeff Wilkinson Woody Wagers Chip Daniels and Sheldon Sheppard. The family requests memorials be made to We Care of Chapin 1808 Chapin Rd.
