Brenda Wallenzine Johnson Alewine 69 of Cayce died Thursday January 8 2015 at the Lexington Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday in Pinelawn Memory Gardens 28808 Highway 76 E Clinton SC 29325 by the Rev. Bill Geddings. She was born in Newberry on November 24 1945 a daughter of the late Wilbur Shelton Wallenzine and Margaret Strother Wallenzine. She attended the Newberry schools and worked as a food service manager for K Mart and Food Lion stores. Brenda was a member of Broadacres Baptist Church in Cayce. She was a devoted and loving wife mother grandmother and sister. She is survived by her husband of 44 years Alvin Wayne Alewine; daughters Angela Hope Somogyi of Cayce and Lisa Johnson Davis of Laurens; sisters Linda Wallenzine and Barbara Wallenzine both of Laurens; grandchildren Allen Davis Tyler Davis Garry Knight Shane Knight Justin McCormick and Mary Beth Jones; and her loving fur pal Buddy. In addition to her parents Brenda was predeceased by her brothers David S. Wallenzine William Allen Wallenzine and Richard Lee Wallenzine. Pallbearers will be Grandsons.
