Brooklynn Lyrik Hunter, 2 year old daughter of Holly Kinard and Sherman B. Hunter, Jr. died on Thursday, July 12, 2018.
Brooklynn was born on August 23, 2015 in Lexington.
This adventurous and spirited child was full of life. Always ready for a Paw Patrol case with the heroic pups, she was eager for any adventure. Blue was her favorite color, Ivy was her best friend and Skye was her best dog friend. She loved watching Blaze and Paw Patrol, doing the wibble wobble (shaky, shake, shake) and eating chicken nuggets and French fries, her favorite foods. Through her cheerful spirit and shining personality, she had developed many friends and had shared lots of love during her short life time.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Harmony S. Hunter; grandparents, Deborah and David Blizzard, Ginger and Harry Kinard, and Sherman Hunter, Sr.; great grandparents, Delores Garland, Brenda and John Hyler, Frances and David Blizzard, Fanny and Wallace Hunter, and Linda and Floyd Sartor; maternal great great grandparents, Martha and Walter Suber; aunts and uncles, Tabitha Graddick, Maggie Salley, Jolleen Hanlon, Meggan Southwick, Cierra Hunter, Tyler Dunlap, Rocky Trammell, Danny Kinard (Lyndey), Joseph Blizzard (Christien), and Julian Hunter; numerous great aunts and uncles; cousins, Navaeh Woodard, Savannah Kinard, Summer Kinard, Lacey Kinard, Sky Kinard, Kaitlyn Salley, Emma Hanlon, Bella Blizzard, Lilly Blizzard, Skyler Graddick, Levi Trammell, Henry Salley, and Landon Hensley.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Ursula Hunter; maternal great grandfather, Pearly Garland and great uncle, Brad Ogdan.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel in Newberry.
Funeral services will follow in the Chapel beginning at 4:30 pm conducted by Rev. Charles Clinton.
Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
