C. Gurnie Stuck, 89, of Pomaria, died January 29, 2023 at his residence.
Born on November 4, 1933 in Pomaria, he was a son of the late Carl Melvin and Minnie Elizabeth Wicker Stuck.
Mr. Stuck was retired from Kinard Brothers Pulpwood, was a member of Pomaria Lutheran Church, where he had served on all the committees of the church and the Pomaria Ruritan club.
Survivors include his wife, Nora Kathryn Kinard Stuck; daughters, Kathy Stuck, Kim (Jimmy) Moore and Beth (Mark) Lester; six grandchildren, Carl (Mary) Moore, Mary Kathryn (Trey) Gardner, Al (Rachel) Moore, Jordan Lester, Elizabeth Grace Lester and Thomas Lester; and 4 great-grandchildren; Allie Kirk Moore, Hank Moore, Katie James Moore and Reed Gardner.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Kenneth E. Stuck and Doris Stuck Wicker.
The family will receive friends at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry, on Tuesday from 6 to 7 PM.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:30 PM on Wednesday at Pomaria Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Pomaria Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Pomaria Food Bank, c/o Melinda Long, 1813 Peak Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.
Active pallbearers will be Buck Stuck, Darrell Wicker, Carl Moore, Jordan Lester, Thomas Lester, Al Moore and Todd Fulmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Carroll Pinner, Lutheran Men of Pomaria Church, David Nichols, Robert Lake, Ben Rast, Dr. Leslie Stuck and Dr. William Stuck.
