CARL "MIKE" DRIGGERS Carl Michael Driggers 66 of Hickory passed away unexpectedly on January 24 2013 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born in Newberry SC on December 6 1946 to the late Carl and Narvis Oxner Driggers. Mike was an avid golfer and a sports fanatic. In addition he proudly served in the United States Army and Honor Guard. He loved life and was a devoted father and "Papa Mike". In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Jeanie of 27 years. Survivors include his children; Dana Sue Driggers of Statesville Carla Driggers Gaither and husband Jody of Harmony Holly Rebecca Driggers of Hickory; grandchildren Joe Gaither Ben Gaither Carly Gaither; brother Artie Driggers of Newberry SC and his beloved "puppy McDreamy". A celebration of life service was held on January 26 2013 at 4 PM at Catawba Funerals & Cremations. The family dld recieve friends following the service.
