Carlisle "Carl" Curtis
Fogle, Iii
June 5, 1974 – September 5, 2024
Carlisle "Carl" Curtis Fogle, III, 50, passed away on September 5, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, friendship, and dedication to his family and community.
Born in Columbia, Carl was the beloved son of Mary Amelia "Amy" Dillon and Carlisle Curtis Fogle, Jr., and was also blessed with a caring stepmother, Cornelia M. "Connie" Fogle.
After graduating from Richland Northeast High School, Carl followed his passion for electrical work, becoming a certified Master Electrician. He spent many years with Fogle Electric before founding his own successful company, 3rd Generation Electrical. His reputation for skill and integrity in both commercial and residential construction was well-respected.
Carl's adventurous spirit and wide range of interests were central to who he was. He was a competitive motocross racer, once sponsored by Yamaha, and later by Carolina Honda Powerhouse and Barrs Competition. Music was another great love; Carl was a talented guitarist and a member of the band One More Hero, where he shared his creativity and passion for life.
To those who knew him, Carl was much more than his talents and accomplishments. He was a kind, loving, and devoted father, a thoughtful friend, and a respected leader. His infectious smile and warm presence made others feel seen and valued. Carl had an incredible ability to form genuine connections, always offering a listening ear or a helping hand. While he faced many challenges throughout his life, he fought them with courage, and now he has found peace.
Carl is predeceased by his father, Carlisle Curtis Fogle, Jr. He is survived by his beloved children, Carlisle "Lyles" Curtis Fogle, IV, and Kathryn "Ryn" Frank Fogle, along with their mother, Kathryn "Kay" Hampton. He also leaves behind his devoted sisters: Michelle Martin, Ellen Towe Elliott, Torey Newman Futch, Brandi Fogle Vannoy, Linsey Fogle Sanchez, Heather Martin, and Sherry Fogle Green; aunt, Susan Fogle; uncle, Hugh "Tony" Fogle; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
