With hearts full of sorrow and gratitude, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Carol Diane Hamilton (Mushrush), who entered into eternal life with our Lord and Savior on Friday, April 24th, 2026, at the age of 82. Born in Pasadena, California, on June 30, 1943, Carol was a loving and devoted wife and Mother who lived wholeheartedly for our Lord Jesus Christ.

Carol was a member of Chapin Baptist Church and enjoyed attending her Sunday school class. She was an avid reader and loved to take adventures in her younger years. One of her favorite pastimes was camping in the Redwood National Forest, where she would take hikes with the family and pass the evenings playing cards. She also loved to race her father back to the house on the farm where she grew up. She would be on her horse, and her dad would pull up next to her in his truck, and they would race the whole way home. She will be remembered for her gentle and peaceful spirit.

Not only was she a devoted wife to her husband of 61 years, but Carol was also a warm, caring, and loving mother to her two daughters. She will be remembered as a woman full of grace, love, and patience.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Hamilton; her two daughters, Sandra Ellsworth and her husband, William, and Pamela Sargent and her husband, Rick, as well as five grandchildren: Joshua, Jacob, Nathanael, Hannah, and Maegan; and three great-grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Willard Mushrush, her mother, Beulah Mushrush, and her brother, Raymond Mushrush.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, May 4, 2026, at Chapin Baptist Church Cemetery, with a time of visitation immediately following the service.

 In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Chapin Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 640, Chapin, SC 29036.
