Charlotte Holst Minick, 71, of Little Mountain, died July 13, 2018 at her residence. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late John Kent and Martha Seay Holst. Charlotte studied at the University of South Carolina. She was a former employee of Thomas & Howard Co. and Associate Foods and she retired as owner and operator of Priority Food Service. Charlotte loved to read books, make bracelets from beads, and work in her flower garden. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Austin S. Minick; sons and their wives, Kent and Clarissa Spehl of Mount Pleasant and Brad and Gina Spehl of Columbia; her sister and her husband, Mary Ann and Derrick Peak of Pelion; her grandchildren, Camden, Bradley, Kender, and Keigan; and her dogs, Molly P. Pie, Chester, and Arlo. In loving memory of Charlotte Minick, the family will hold a covered dish picnic at Billy Dreher Island state park on Sunday the 22nd of July, 2018. The gathering will be held at picnic shelter #4 and we will welcome guests from 1:30p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Please feel free to bring a covered dish and come and go on a drop-in type schedule.
