Cheri Lyn Brown, 63, of North Myrtle Beach, SC died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at her home. Born on February 25, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Frances Harley and Travis Martin Brown, Sr. She grew up in Manning, SC. She was a graduate of Columbia College and had previously worked in real estate. She was a very talented artist. Cheri enjoyed life, was gifted with a most gregarious personality and was exceptional in her unique way. She loved her family dearly and possessed a special affection for her numerous friends. Cheri is survived by her brother, Travis M. "Brownie" Brown, Jr. of Manning and her sister, Cynthia B. Whitaker (John Paul) of Newberry. Other survivors include nieces, Frances B. King, Elizabeth M. Shook, Laura W. Mangum, and Mary Frances W. Northcutt; nephew Travis M. "Marty" Brown, III; and great nephews and great nieces. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Frances Elizabeth "Betsi" Brown and her sister-in-law Sue McKnight Brown. A memorial service for Cheri will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Manning United Methodist Church. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the church. Interment will be private. Memorials are suggested to Manning United Methodist Church. Dukes Harley Funeral Home of Orangeburg is assisting the family.
