Christi Harmon Epps, 42, of Newberry, died Friday May 31, 2019 at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Christi was born on June 4, 1976 in Newberry a daughter of Kenneth Donald "Donnie" Harmon and Bertha Louise Long Harmon. She attended the Newberry County Schools and was a homemaker. Christi was a member of Queens Chapel Presbyterian Church. She was a very loving and kind-hearted person, always concerned about others and always there to lend a shoulder for others to cry on. She loved her family and was the backbone of the family that kept them together. And she was a great cook and a fantastic mother to her children and also to their friends In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Neal Epps; sons, Corey Epps of Whitmire, DeMarcus Epps and Matthew Epps both of Newberry; grandchildren, Janiyah, Jacorian, JaMarian, and Rylan Epps, Hope and Ava Owings,and R.C. and Jessie Coffey; siblings, Robby (Tiffany) and Donny Coffey who were raised in the home and are of Newberry, Shane and James Harris, both of Whitmire, and Dale Harmon of Newberry. She is also survived by her biological father, James Harris, Sr. of Whitmire. Christi was predeceased by her sisters Lesa Anne Harmon and Nita Jo Coffey. Visitation will be on Monday, June 3, 2019 from 12 noon until 1:30 pm at Love Chapel Church, 2231 Highway 72 in Whitmire. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm at the church with the Rev.
