Christian W. "Chris" Kallenbach, 49, of Chapin, SC passed away tragically on the evening of Saturday June 18, 2016. He was the son of Mary Bauer Kallenbach and the late William A. "Bill" Kallenbach.
He was born on June 16, 1967 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was a lifelong Wisconsin Badger and diehard Green Bay Packer fan.
He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and established himself as a true professional in the material handling industry in a career spanning over 25 years.
He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend affecting all he touched with his positive energy. He was a loved member of the community and touched many people with his infectious zest and passion for life. He was a master cook and loved entertaining. His home was always an open welcoming environment. His love of life extended to all of God's creatures especially his pets Sadie, Lola, Carlos and Larry. He was known as Dr. Doolittle.
Chris liked spending time outside enjoying moments with friends and family. Motorcycle trips with friends throughout the country were memorable times but he especially cherished date days/nights on the bike. Everyone felt at ease in his presence and appreciated his fun loving spirit. He never met a stranger.
According to his daughter, Krista, "Dad could fix anything"! We will forever miss Chris' smile, contagious laughter and fun loving spirit.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary Kaczorowski Kallenbach; mother, Mary Bauer Kallenbach of Hartland, Wisconsin; daughters, Nicole Ann and Krista Ann both of Chapin, SC; sister, Susan Kallenbach Hurlburt (Matthew) of Charleston, SC and many sisters and brothers in-law and numerous loved nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be will be celebrated by the Rev. Dennis B. Willey at 3:00 pm
on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
The family will receive friends at the church following the mass and also at the Kallenbach home for a celebration of Chris.
