Cindy Sue Mora Ramirez, 66, of Newberry died Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at White Oak Manor.

Born on January 25, 1957 in Kokomo, IN, she was a daughter of the late Lillie Evelyn Livingston and John Arthur Gordon.

Cindy was an animal lover, and was particularly fond of spending time with her dog, Bandit. She enjoyed visiting thrift stores and spotting antiques; Cindy could see value when others could not. She enjoyed fishing, especially in paid pond tournaments.

She loved all types of music and she loved to dance when she was happy. Cindy was happy whenever she was with her family. She enjoyed working alongside her husband, Si, at their Mexican Restaurant in Greenville.

Cindy was a member of Wightman United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society. Her nickname was "Dream Catcher" and she was a collector of ''dream catchers''. She was most proud of her granddaughter Allahjah, who will attend college in the fall - a dream come true for Cindy.

She is survived by her daughter, Christal Dawn Gordon; granddaughter, Allahjah Michelle Jones; grandsons, Jermain J. Cheek, Jr. and Anthony Cheek; son-in-law, Jermaine Cheek; brother, Jerry Wayne Gordon (Mary); sister, Cathy Lynn Floyd (Gaston); and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Fussais "Si" Mora Ramirez; and her sister, Sondra Kay Gordon Chism.

The family expresses their appreciation to her caregivers and friends, "T", Denise, and Sandra.
