Claire Anne Whelan of Chapin South Carolina passed away at her home on July 5 2014. Services were at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 12:00 p.m. on Friday July 11 2014. Claire has lived in Chapin for the past 21 years. She had an optimistic spirit and was constantly on the go living life to the fullest. Claire was a loving sister mother and grandmother. She is survived by her sisters MaryJo Jubon of Pennsylvania Margaret Tischio of Texas and Joan Amato of South Carolina; her 5 daughters Beth Anne Adams of Monticello Florida Joanne Whelan of Jensen Beach Florida Rosanne Martin of Chapin South Carolina Dianne Whelan of Davie Florida and Claire Anne Boesman of Chapin South Carolina; her 10 grandchildren Gregory Harnish of Virginia Billy Humphrey and Forrest Humphrey of Florida Becky Martin Danni Shick and Kevin Shick of South Carolina Alexa Mihalovich of Florida Miranda Boesman Grace Martin and Jayson Boesman of South Carolina; and her 2 great-grandchildren Mae Rose Monts and Charlotte MacGregor of South Carolina. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to either Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church PO Box 549 Chapin SC 29036 or the Riverbanks Zoo Society Grizzly Bear Otter Exhibit 500 Wildlife Pkwy Columbia SC 29210 in memory of Claires love for otters.
