Clara R. Travali, 96, was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, and resided with her family in Fishkill, New York, for many years. Clara passed away peacefully at Westminster Memory Care in Lexington, SC on Monday, August 10, 2026. She was a daughter to the late Nicholas Filacchione and Clorinda D’Lilo Filacchione.  She was a twin to her late brother, Nicky and devoted wife of the late Richard A. Travali.

Clara was a strong willed and spirited individual whose life was grounded in love for her family and dedication to her work as a caretaker helping others.

Clara’s family and friends will remember her most for her feisty personality and frequent, spirited remarks. She loved simple pleasures from laughter and sometimes mayhem shared with her three dear sisters, to the simple pride in collecting antiques with her husband, arranging flowers, caring for a beautiful home and, of course, enjoying a glass of good wine. But mostly, she will be remembered for her accepting personality, warmth and understanding which filled the lives and hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.

Clara is survived by her daughters, Debbi Cavallo, Gerri Travali (Mike Harris), and Karen Travali (Cindy Schacht). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Keith J. Cavallo (Erin) and Keri A. Cavallo; and her great grandchildren, Trevor Cavallo, Audrey Cavallo and Dylan Cavallo. In addition, she is survived by generations of nieces, nephews, their spouses and children who take with them the funniest of memories of “Aunt Clara” that helped shape their lives.

Memorials can be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 140 Stoneridge Drive, #640, Columbia, SC, 29210.

Memories and condolences can be shared here on her tribute wall.
