Clare Barnhart Crumpton 87 widow of William Hogan Crumpton and formerly of Orangeburg died Tuesday January 13 2015 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday January 15 2015 at 11:00 AM at Aimwell Cemetery intersection of SC Hwy 34 and US Hwy 21 in Ridgeway SC. Born on June 12 1927 in Crawfordville GA she was the daughter of the late Clarence Barnhart and Augusta Chapman Barnhart. Mrs. Crumpton worked as a registered nurse for over 55 years. She was truly dedicated to the care of all her patients and was deeply respected by her peers. Survivors include her sons and their spouses: Sid and Chris Crumpton of Lake Murray Billy H. Crumpton of Bluffton and Jack B. and Sabrina Crumpton of Fountain Inn; grandchildren: Lori Williams Ansley Smith Jason Crumpton Nikki Allard and Suean Brown; great grandchildren: Lawson Williams Rux Smith Hudson Hartwell and Kaylee Fincher. Memorials are suggested to Fairview Fire Department and Rescue Squad 149 Seibert Rd. Prosperity SC 29127. Honorary pallbearers will be her Lake Murray family.
