Clarence C. "Clancy" Cipkala 82 of 5 Woodshaw Court Columbia SC formerly of Youngstown OH died Saturday at his residence. Mr. Cipkala was born on October1 1921 in Youngstown OH a son of the late John and Mary Hamracek Cipkala. He was an Army veteran of WW II. He was a retired employee of LTV Steel Mill in Youngstown having worked there for over 42 years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Chapin the Men's Garden Club of Youngstown the Holy Name Society of the Church and was an active member of the AARP. He was a volunteer at Assumption Nursing Home and a volunteer at the Monastery. Mr. Cipkala is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Helen Sedlacko Cipkala of the home; four daughters and sons-in-law Elaine and Joe Pipoly of Boardman OH Jan and Jerry Cipkala-Gaffin of Wexford PA Margie and John Wanchick of Columbus OH and Mary Jo and Mark Rumancik of Ft. Wayne IN; two sons and a daughter-in-law John and Sue Cipkala of Columbus OH and Clancy Cipkala of Columbia SC; two sisters; one brother; and 13 grandchildren. Funeral Mass for Clarence C. Cipkala will be conducted at 10:00 A. M. Monday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church by the Father Andrew Vollkommer. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P. M. Sunday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Visitation will follow the Rosary and last until 9:00 P.M.
