Clayton David Spradling, 21, of Prosperity, died Monday, October 24, 2016. Born on February 8, 1995 in Bartlesville, OK, he was the son of David Spradling of Chapin, SC and Connie Johnson of Locust Grove, VA. Clay was full of life, creative, and adventurous. He never met a stranger and made a friend of everyone. He loved God, family, animals, Mexican food, and motorcycles. He had a special gift that attracted children and other people. Clay was loved beyond measure, could never be forgotten, and will always be missed. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a step-mother, Wanda Spradling of Chapin, SC; step-father, Jeff Johnson of Locust Grove, VA; and sisters, Josie Spradling, Kaylen Spradling, both of VA, Lindsay Smith, and Natalie Burrows, both of OK. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 5:30 until 7:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Bolos Family Cemetery, Longtrail Place, Little Mountain, SC. Pallbearers will be Sammy Bolos, John Bolos, Jeremy Gailey, Aaron Gailey, Paul Medlin, and Patrick Darty. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Dillard and Jimmy Brown.
