IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clifton S.
Harris
February 12, 1952 – September 28, 2023
Clifton Samuel Harris, 71, of Clinton, South Carolina, died September 28, 2023, at his brother's home in Newberry. Born February 12, 1952, in Newberry County, South Carolina, he was a son to the late James Garner Harris and the late Carolyn Juanita Crumpton Harris. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Billie Ruth Harris.
Clifton was known to be a character who certainly had fun enjoying life. He was a comical jokester who took pleasure in clowning around to make others laugh and smile. A down to earth man, he would give the shirt off his back for anyone and was always a phone call away. Clifton loved his family; especially his brother, Tony, and Clifton always made a way to attend all the family gatherings. Clifton took pride in his work over the years as a carpenter and while working as a security officer. He was talented at what he could do as a jack of all trades. Clifton loved the outdoors. He spent many days and many late nights rabbit hunting, deer hunting and relaxing off a bank or pier fishing with his brother.
Clifton is survived by his brother, Tony Harris; sisters, Bernice Lever and Carolyn Sexton (Billy); a dearly loved aunt, Corrie Davenport and special niece, Halley Harris. Clifton is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Billie Ruth Harris; his sisters, Rosie McCall and Judy Moore and a brother, James "Jimmy" Harris.
