Obituary

Clyde Daniel Anderson, 39, of Batesburg-Leesville, died Friday, July 23, 2021 at Lexington Community Hospice House surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Columbia, South Carolina on May 30, 1982, he was a son of Danny Ray Anderson and Ginger Rene' Bouknight. Clyde graduated from West Side High School in North Augusta and later joined the United States Navy in 2009. He later began working for Bush River Jersey's Farm as a dairy farmer. He was an animal lover and he enjoyed being able to work closely with dairy cows and cattle, which were his favorite. Clyde was a handy man, taught by his Uncle Tim; there were not many things he couldn't learn how to do. He enjoyed camping, fishing, listening to music and working with his hands. Clyde was a people person and considered everyone he met family. He loved his friends and "would give the shirt off his back and his last bite of food" to anyone who was in need. Along with his parents, he is survived by a son, Dakota Ray Anderson; sisters, Dianna Livingston (George) and April Marquez (Hilario); brother, Blake Bouknight; grandparents, David and Barbara Jean Temple; step-father, Samuel Gray Bouknight; nephews, Dean and Mason Livingston and Andrew and Adrian Marquez; nieces, Aurora, and Ariel Marquez; the mother of his son, Toni Ironmonger; many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his dog, Pee Wee, who loved Clyde as much as Clyde loved her. Clyde was predeceased by his grandparents, Elaine and Clyde Anderson and Virginia and JD Perry. A celebration of life will be held at Whitaker Funeral Home on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 2 PM. Visitation with the family will follow. The family asks that memorial contributions be made in Clyde's name to Whitaker Funeral Home.
