Connie Elaine Burgess Howard Teseniar, 70, of Pelzer and formerly of Newberry, died Wednesday December 1, 2021 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born on May 11, 1951 in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Silas and Bonnie Raye Guthrie Burgess. She was married to the late Clarence Junior Teseniar.
Connie was a hairstylist and owner of Fingertip Salon and a former member of College Street Baptist Church in Newberry.
She was full of life and always on the go, regardless of her health. To know Connie, was to know she was opinionated and if you got in the way of a destination she had her mind set on, she just might run right over your foot with her power chair.
Connie always had hope for the future and found joy in a variety of hobbies, including shopping, various arts and crafts, fishing, and traveling with her husband Clarence. She also loved music of all different kinds.
She is survived by sons, Chad Howard and Todd Howard, both of Summerville; step-daughter, Pauline Scarbrough of Myrtle Beach; step-son, Greg Teseniar of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Caroline, Payton and Caden; nephew and caregiver, James G. Peterson; and devoted friend and caregiver, Ricky Basinger.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Timothy Howard, Jr.; step-sons, David and Gary Teseniar, and sister, Diane Peterson.
The family will receive friends from 1pm to 3pm on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Gray Mortuary, 52 Main Street, Pelzer, SC. Funeral services will follow at 3pm. Interment services will be held in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 1pm.
