IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Crystal Denise
Ginyard
June 25, 1981 – January 13, 2023
Crystal Denise Ginyard, 41, of Jenkinsville, SC went to sleep in the Lord Friday, January 13, 2023 with her husband by her side.
Born on June 25, 1981 in Charleston, SC, she was a daughter of Sylvia Hege and the late Peter N. Hege. She was married to Azonia Jerron Ginyard, Sr.
Though her time here was much too brief, her impact in this world was great. Crystal was an active vessel for God, living out his Word in all that she did, finding great joy in helping others. She had a beautiful smile and was quick to share it with others, hoping to make them feel a little better.
Her legacy will be carried on through others, living as Crystal taught us to do – Serve God. Love Others. Smile Often.
In addition to her mother, Sylvia, and husband, Azonia Jerron "AJ" Ginyard, Sr., she is survived by her sister, Joshlind Hege; brothers, Peter Hege, Joshua David Hege (Sandra), Mark Hege (Maria Elena); maternal grandmother, Joyce Simmons; son, Azonia Jerron Ginyard, Jr. (Kayla) and grandson, Azonia Jerron Ginyard, III (Maria) all of Irmo; sisters-in-law, Inez Crumblin of Jenkinsville, Veronica Henkins of Newport News, VA, and Nervonia Ginyard of Jenkinsville; brother-in-law, Gregory Ginyard (Betty) of Jenkinsville; aunts and uncles, Mollie Ann Jenkins, Robert Jenkins, Harold and Pat Wharton Hege, Matthew and Elizabeth Bonk; godmother Doris Washington; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Edwards Simmons, and paternal grandparents, Nathan and Arlene Hege.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Jody Flowers and Rev. Paul Allen at Chapin United Methodist, her home church, at 12 Noon on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at 11 AM.
